Terms of use (EULA)

This agreement is between you and Ashutosh Roy, Gurugram, Haryana, India ("we", "us"). It covers the OneClick Optimizer app, its free features and its paid "Pro" features (the "Software"). By installing or using the Software you agree to it. If you don't agree, don't install it.

1. What you may do

  1. Free version: you may install and use the Software on any number of your own computers, for personal or business use, at no charge.
  2. Pro: one Pro license key may be active on up to 3 computers at a time. You can move it by using "Move Pro to another PC" in the app.
  3. "Lifetime" means for as long as we offer the Software, including all updates to version 1.x and every later version we release as a free update. It is not tied to a subscription and never renews.

2. What you may not do

  1. Share, sell, publish or give away your license key.
  2. Remove, bypass or disable the license check.
  3. Copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the Software, except where the law allows it regardless of this agreement.
  4. Rent, lease or resell the Software, or use it to provide a service to others.

3. What the software does to your PC

The Software closes programs you choose, changes startup and service settings you choose, and deletes temporary files, junk files and developer folders (such as node_modules) you choose. If you turn on Autopilot, it deletes old temporary files and closes idle developer tools on a schedule. Focus mode lowers the priority of background programs and changes the power mode until you turn it off. It shows each change before making it and keeps a history so most changes can be undone. Deleted files cannot be restored. Save your work before using one-click Optimise. You are responsible for the changes you ask the Software to make.

4. Purchases and refunds

Pro is sold by our online reseller, Polar Software, Inc. (polar.sh), which is the merchant of record for your order and handles payment, taxes and receipts. Sales are final, so please try the free version first. If your key won't activate or Pro doesn't work on your PC, tell us within 30 days of purchase and we will fix it or refund you. This does not limit any right to a refund that the law gives you. See the refund policy at oneclickoptimizer.vercel.app/refund. A refunded key stops working.

5. Updates

The Software checks for new versions and asks before installing one. We may add, change or remove features in updates. Features you paid for will not be moved behind a new payment.

6. Privacy

The Software does not send your files, scan results or usage to us. See the privacy policy at oneclickoptimizer.vercel.app/privacy for the few things it does send (an update check, and your license key when you activate Pro).

7. Open-source parts

The Software includes open-source components under their own licenses, listed in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt in the install folder and at oneclickoptimizer.vercel.app/licenses. Nothing in this agreement limits your rights under those licenses.

8. No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT IT WILL MAKE YOUR COMPUTER FASTER OR THAT IT IS ERROR-FREE. Some places don't allow these exclusions, so they may not apply to you.

9. Limit of liability

TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS, OR FOR LOST DATA OR PROFITS, AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by contract.

10. Ending this agreement

You can end it at any time by uninstalling the Software. It ends automatically if you break section 2. Sections 3, 7, 8 and 9 survive.

11. Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of India, without limiting any consumer protection you have under the laws of the country you live in.
